This is Westmoreland Glass and the plate is their 'Princess Feather' pattern; the stem is their 'Doric Border' pattern. The color is a peachy amber that Westmoreland called 'Golden Sunset' and was made ca.1964-1984. The 'Princess Feather' pattern was Westmoreland interpretation of EAPG by Boston and Sandwich Glass Co.

Great piece, TC. I've always loved Westmoreland's PF design, such an underrated pattern!
thx Paul. I really like the unique color; no other maker has copied it that I know of.
I have many pieces of westmoreland princess feather goldens sunset. From what I read that these pieces were made and discontinued in the early to MID 60's, due to lack of sells, which in turn made these pieces rare. I already have this piece, but if you hear of anybody that has the banana bowl let me know.
Sincerely...............Michael
the banana stand is probably fairly rare; I only remember seeing one on eBay. You might try setting up a search on eBay under the glass catagory and subscribe to the email notification.
I have this in milk glass. Any idea the year? The base looks like a doric candle holder.
The WG Doric Border candlestick was used as a pedestal with different plate and bowl designs to create cake stands and compotes. Most of the milk glass cake stands that I've seen have used the Lace Edge plate to make the cake stand; tho' experimental one time examples of other combinations have been spotted too. Altho' WP did make some milk glass pieces in the Princess Feather pattern I haven't seen a plate in milk glass. How about showing us a pic of your cake stand in your collection. I have several WP milk glass cake stands included in the milk glass stack in my collection.
thanks for the love
Very pretty, I have never seen a piece in this color. Thank you for sharing it.
thanks allirish. This color is unique to Westmoreland for a fairly short period.
Just found a crystal one of these in a thrift store today and couldn't resist it. Love it in this beautiful color--Thank you for sharing.
