This is a Howdy Doody Puppet from a Buster Brown Shoe display. I believe that Buster Brown Shoes was a sponsor of the Howdy Doody TV program in the 50's. I got this from a shoe store in 1959. It was in very bad condition. No painted finish, mice ate the feet, some clothing missing and remaining clothing faded from the sun. I restored it the best I could.

You are looking at the after photo. It was in such bad condition, I almost threw it in the garbage at that time. Thank you for the comment.
