Here are a few different "cab lights" by the Gillco Co. They were called this because of their resemblance to the illuminated taxi cab lights which were mounted on the roofs.You can see that they vary in their bases,some are scalloped,others have feet,etc. They are comprised of two pieces of domed glass held together by a trim ring which attaches to the metal base.I have seen these advertising fridges,furnaces,food and other items. They also made a larger convex domed sign,which was single or double sided.The paint was fired on,and is fairly durable.
