Hi Gang, Get a load of my first pre-1900's piece, a nice little coupon from approx 1898. The Company had not been incorporated much longer than 5 years when this was issued. This week I went from a 9' banner to a 3" coupon. I can at least afford to have this one framed in the near future!

Wow, great find Dave!
eBay "Buy it Now" from an auction house, onetwenty. Here was the description:
"Provenance: This consignment item was in the family of my consigner for many years. Her family ran a soda fountain in the midwest in the early 1900s and this little coupon has been flat in the pages of a book for many years. The Coca Cola Company name was incorporated by Asa Candler in 1892 and this slogan was used betweem 1893-1898.
Condition: Mild crease on face left top corner; 1/3 inch tear on lower left of face, light stains and discoloration due to age. Rounded corners, by design. No center creases."
AWSOME Dave, you hit the big and the small for sure!!! I better stop ignoring "buy it now" LOL.
Thanks trgrubaugh, cckid, Perry, and Tommy. You know Tommy, once in a great while a nice piece comes along for a reasonable on-line set price. Not often. I've had to do a lot of looking, a lot of asking. I've certainly become accustomed to rejection. I think I probably paid about retail for this thing, in this condition. Will have to treat it with TLC while framing, that's for sure, might crumble...
Another great find Dave! The early stuff is just too cool!!
Appreciated, Bernie! Hope you're having a nice night.
Hey Dave, I would even consider the acid free framing process on this one as well.
You don't want anything happening to it. ;)
This is an exceptional item. I would do as Signaholic suggested and go with an acid free frame. I know people who would give their left arm for something this cool. Also, I wonder if you would get a free Coke if you walked into a modern "soda fountain" (convenience store) and showed the card...
Good point ay, it doesn't have an expiration date! But I'm afraid Dave would loose in that deal and the clerk would win. If the clerk knew anything about CC stuff. ;)
I have this thing in one of those cheap plastic clear picture frames, which I've sealed tightly around the edges with laminating plastic, so that it's compressed enough to hold the coupon firmly in place. This way the front and back can be viewed. Poor man's conservation job!!!! See the image I added. :)
Thanks aycockonxion!
Thanks KSC. hey, check your e-mail, I need your advice on a flare glass I'm eyeballing.
I really like the condition of it. That is so awesome!! Thanks for sharing that!!!
