Last Saturday morning I stopped by a sale in Zionsville, Indiana. I managed to get this rare tiger oak shaving stand with claw feet. On the wheels it's dated Feb. 13, 1894. The lid opens for storage and there is a beveled mirror inside to see yourself that is connected to the bottom of the lid. I decided that the piece was so beautiful that it's going to stay in the living room for everyone to see it that comes over. I have a Lincoln drape Aladdin oil lamp sitting on the top with a few other nick nacks.
