This piece has been in my family for years (probably since it was made) and I'd like to know more about it. It is from central Kentucky, Bath County, Dickerson Family.

It is pieced in a "tulips (or flowers) in a basket and there are two on one side and then two mirrored about the center. There is a really nice banner edge and really nice corner detail.

The quilting is of flowers in a basket two and independent in the design between the pieced flowers. The quiliting is very three dimensional--stuffed and raised I mean.

Can anyone tell me about my quilt?

Hi, Looks like a variation of the Love Apple. Probably made in the later 1800's. Very nice quilting and swag border. The stuffed elements - are just that- stuffed, sometimes called Trapunto. It shows the skill of the quilter and very desirable.
