I have had this beautiful ornate stained glass lamp. It is not signed anyplace . Decorated with birds, vines and base has swans on it . It was my Grandmothers and shade and base are original to it . Would love to know if any one has seen one like this and what kind of value it has . Thank you .

I'm wondering if this is not a Handel lamp with a Weller or Rookwood base.
Thank you . I will take a better look inside shade area for mark . I am sure that it is on same base as when I was young in 50's I remember it sitting on table right by door that lead to living room for 50 plus yrs and that it was never broke amazes me as there were so many grand kids running around house all those yrs . I appreciate the help . I have had it for 15 yrs now .
Oh much like what I know more about . Many doll companies bought they doll heads from a different Co and put them on their bodies :-) I get it now . Thank you so much . I am waiting to have someone help me lift shade off as it is large ,heavy and fragile to look again for a mark
Not really AR Weller did use Handel fittings for some lamps, as did Rookwood. Handel also commissioned the Hampshire Pottery co. to make bases for them. So with this company you may see many different bases with the Handel shade and fittings.
Your lamp was made by the Empire Lamp & Brass Mfg. Co., 426 S. Clinton St., Chicago, Il. A picture of it is shown on page 16 in the book of Electric Lighting of the 20's & 30's Volume 2. I have records showing that an example of this lamp sold 4 times this year. April for $1200, May for $578, July for $517 and again in July for $1150. As you can see the price can vary quite a bit with the factors being condition and who is looking and buying. Hope this helps.
