This is a plate that was given to my mother a long time ago, and we don't know anything about it.
On the back, all it has on it is a number in blue..."48". We took it to an appraiser and all he said was he thought it was made in Germany, but couldn't tell for sure. If anyone can help up with this Big Mystery, it would be great. Like who made it, what region of Germany(or England). We would truly appreciate your help in clearing up this 30 year mystery!
Thanks~

Your plate was made about 1900-1910 by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Company. Marked pieces are found with the RS Germany Steeple Mark-See RS Prussia International website. Under current economic prices, it would be worth $35-$60.00.
Thank you so very, very much!
Do you suggest any kinds of books I could read about them? I went to the web site and couldn't find the plate? You have been so very helpful. I so appreciate it.
