Many of the companies used the same mold, and made variations, hence the Santa becomes a pirate or a sherriff. Someday I will find the orange-black Halloween version! They are banks, night-lites, and figurines. Everytime I walk by this group, I just have to laugh.

I shared some of my Easter toys on another show-and-tell listing. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/2752-my-vintage-easter-toys-and-decoration-co?in=user

Here is one that I added to my collection since doing that display. It's a baseball-playing Easter Elephant -- he's a bank AND a night lite.

Some of the companies that made these types of hard plastic toys were: ROSBRO, ROSEN, IRWIN, KNICKERBOCKER, UNION -- here's a good starter book -- http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Novelties-Toys-Schiffer-Collectors/dp/0764314408

There are adorable vintage toys from lots of holidays, and they are a lot of fun to collect. Halloween items are the most expensive, but you can get the rest for a bargain if you hunt.

I have all my easter plastic containers from when I was a little girl and I was wondering who made the bunny car? I also have the rooster cart and the umbrella for the bunny, oh and I have the bunny with the wheel barrow too! who were the manufacturers? Please solve this mystery!
Thank you so much for sharing your photos. I will gladly send mine to you if you would like!
