Already a lot of years ago I inharited this stunning ring with 6 foiled rose cut diamonds and closed back. The diamonds are set in silver. The back of the ring is in yellow (I think at least 14K) gold. The diamonds are quite huge especialy the two in the middle. In earlier times I let enlarge the ring and then I did'nt know not yet much of the value of this ring. I'am afraid that perhaps with this action they also removed present hallmarks. But I'm not sure if there has been at all. According the making and style of this ring I suppose it is Georgian. Is there a jewelry collector can tell me why there are to find almost always five stone rings and mine has six??

I still wonder why my diamond stone ring has six instead of the "normal" five stones? Is there anyone who has the clue??
