    This was hand carved in the phillipines, not sure when. I believe in the 1960's. It is made out of Monkey Pod. Each bowl comes out and the pineapple on top has serving spoons. This is a 3 layer one, they made/make ones that have 5 layers too.

      I'd say you're prolly close on the date. I picked up a couple of these in the early 70s when on a WestPac cruise at the end of Vietnam. Service guys picked up all sorts of carved furniture and stuff in those days. They prolly still make 'em today.
