Hi, Just wanted to post several vintage clothing repair items. These are items I received from my wife's grandmother several years ago. Both pictures are the same items, just wanted to show different poses. There are three books of assorted sewing needles, nickel plated, made in Japan. One card of Mendets leak repairs for pots, pans, tubs, hot water bottles, etc., Made in Amsterdam, N.Y., price for card .15 cents. Also was a card by Newey's World Famed Hooks & Eyes. The card states that they are by appointment to H.M.Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. They were made in England. I thought they were pretty cool and had nice graphics. Could not find a date on any of these. Does anyone else have these or siniliar items ? Thanks for looking !

Hey Gypsy, those are pretty neat little dime store items!
Thanks Signaholic, you don't see too many dime store items anymore !
Nope and I for one, love findin them!
They look mighty good in a display case!
Thanks again, Signaholic ..... guess Iwill have to find display case somewhere!
They had so many wonderful things with great graphics in those days, up to the early 1960's, and then they went downhill from there. No sex needed to sell these wonderful pieces. I find it amazing to see they sell these type of things still on ebay, which I guess just about does have a buyer for everything !!~
Thanks PhilDavidAlexanderMorris for the comment. You are definitely right about advertising. Some advertising these days are almost porno! I am also amazed at things that people collect. I think there is a market for everything. Thanks for stopping by !
