The first item is a framed photo that sat on the desk in Douglas Fairbanks Jr.'s home in NYC of the 2 Fairbanks men together, taken by George Hurrel, famed hollywood photographer, in about 1930. I bought the photo at the Doyle NYC auction of his mementos.

Also the second photo was a photo in the same auction of Joan Crawford with the notes she and Doug exchanged when they were married around 1933.

The 3rd photo was an original. I had gone to NYC many times especially to get movie star images. I had seen a good part of the world famous Kobal Collection in books but to that part I had never collected what I felt was an important image. The Kobal collection I had seen in books in the 1970's when he had massed up a very considerable lot of original photos and negatives that were lost from old Hollywood. I used the images to do large enlargements and then hand paint them. I sold many to make a living and went to NYC to look. I found a treasure one day as I was searching on old place in NYC. There were many at that time. I was shocked when I came across an old large photo negative of Joan Crawford and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could see all the heavy retouch marks in it that were common back in the day.
