The first item is a framed photo that sat on the desk in Douglas Fairbanks Jr.'s home in NYC of the 2 Fairbanks men together, taken by George Hurrell, famed hollywood photographer, in about 1930. I bought the photo at the Doyle NYC auction of his mementos.

Also the second photo was a photo in the same auction of Douglas Fairbanks mementos of Joan Crawford with the notes she and Doug exchanged when they were married around 1933.

The 3rd photo was an original. I had gone to NYC many times especially to get movie star images. I had seen a good part of the world famous Kobal Collection in books but to that part I had never collected what I felt was an important image. The Kobal collection I had seen in books in the 1970's when he had massed up a very considerable lot of original photos and negatives that were lost from old Hollywood. I used the images to do large enlargements and then hand paint them. I sold many to make a living and went to NYC to look. I found a treasure one day as I was searching on old place in NYC. There were many at that time. I was shocked when I came across an old large photo negative of Joan Crawford and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could see all the heavy retouch marks in it that were common back in the day.
