I have a very unusual item here. It is a huge 15 inch tall porcelain mortar and 18-1/2 inch porcelain pestle. I believe it would have been a promotional/advertising item in a pharmacy in the 1950's. I have never seen anything like this and would like to know if anyone has info or insight to what this item is and although I know that it is rare, how rare is it?
