This is something you may have only seen in photographs.
It is a early New York Telephone bike. It was probably used
in a city. It has a nice sign on the back. The sign is from 1939.
I am not sure the type or date of the bike. Could be earlier.
Any help on what type of bike this is or any info on early telephone
bikes let me know...

The sprocket appears to be a sweetheart sprocket used by Schwinn pre 1950, If you look at the underside of the crank case you should find a serial number.
