While Chrome is not the original color these came in, I had to do it cause it just looked so cool this way. I thought it a nice contrast against the drab name plate, knob and dial. These were very popular back in the 40s and 50s. A radio like this would've cost around $10 new. This is a 1947 model #842J

Hey thanks youngpicker96!
It looks like the grille in my 63 chevy, good choice on the chrome job.
Came out really nice! Trey said it, looks like the front grille of a car. Very cool.
Thank you Trey and decosound! Kind of what I was goin for. The original colors on these were very bland and not very interesting. Maroon and blue I think. Both colors did not hold up well over time. I'm usually not one to change from original color schemes but in this case, it was needed for the look.
Thank you BeauxPurdy, BELLIN and PhilDavid!
