Thinking these are from the warring states period in China the Zhou Dynasty but not an expert on archaic carvings, I just collect stone carvings. Both are hardstones. Anyone who has an opinion is welcome?

Thanks Teresa; got a new "jade expert" from Singapore who doesn't know the difference between a foo dog and shi shi.

Hohoho, you think too much then. Well, at least, I know the difference between sly dealers (acting as a seasoned collector) and a true Chinese Jade connoisseur. Spend some time studying excavated pieces from eras that you are trying to suggest. Unfortunately, these hard stones above are worthless over this part of the world and viewed as common modern replicas with artificial surface alteration (probably cooked in acid). A serious Chinese Jade collector would not share his precious collection so easily. Something for you to ponder.

United States serious collector? After experiencing our second violent robbery in less than six months Antiquities Plus... has closed it's operations forever.
Not a serious collector, I collect carved rocks of any kind, even mexican folk art carvings. Have to gemstone test all Asian carvings because most are molded leaded glass, but never been serious about collecting anything, it's just stuff.

Antiquities Plus...Timeless Jade...Timeless Artifacts...Fredericks-McIntire collection - now that all adds up. No wonder they look familiar.

As long as the gemstone tester says they are stone and not molded glass it's good enough for my carved rock collection.

I reserve my opinion on the Fredericks-McIntire collection pieces and violent robbery claims.

davezquanw your opinion on Fredericks-McIntire collection was never asked because they were serious collectors. Understanding you are trying to promote your new web page on fake jades to increase your purchasing power on the internet doesn't make you a geoligist.

Serious collectors? Seriously wrong perhaps. Yes I am promoting my blog to share and advise others not to waste hard-earned money on such dubious items. Cannot help but notice those who are unable to debate constructively, due to lack of knowledge and research, tend to rebut in a manner like what you did. Seems like someone cannot handle the truth.

Actually I already said I liked your blog and especially the part about collectors bad mouthing christie's and sotheby's asian jade auctions. Fact is most of the stuff is molded glass and just finding stone is difficult. First thing people should do is buy a gemstone tester. Just finding a stone snuff bottle would be a treasure seeing most jade and agate ones I've tested are glass.
