This was found recently at a sale and I am trying to establish age and value. It is about 6 in. tall, 5 in. wide and 3 in. deep. It appears to be hand painted and the drawer pulls as well as the bands holding the drawer separators are made of etched copper. It is well worn, but in my opinion adds to the beauty of the piece. A sticker on the bottom reads VANTINE which might be a reference to the importer Vantine's in NY in the early 1900's. Anybody have any ideas what type of item this is? My guess jewelry or trinket box...and how to determine a date and value. Thanks.
