I came across this old 2-drawer card catalog and bought it at an auction while I had $5 choice.. mainly because a lady started looking at it and I could tell she was going to grab it if I didn't. Not sure why, but I couldn't let that happen..... Anyway, it's grown on me and I think it's pretty cool. It measures 16" x 13.5" x 5". Both drawers pull just fine. More and more people are getting into the industrial look, and - once I figure out exactly how - it's going to be a great display item.

I worked for many years in a law firm and in the basement we had filing cabinets just like these. When we opened up an estate we would type the decdent's name at the top (last name first as it was alphabetized) of an index card. Then pertinent data about the decedent, Executor, children, date estate was opened. Although we were very modern with our computer system, the elder attorney wanted this procedure followed as it had been established by his grandfather. It was a very efficient system.
