I love this picture of my Dad on Ship . He passed away way to young and I love how proud he looks on this picture . Not sure which ship this is I would have to go through his old discharge papers mabe they would say . I am sure this was a day off for guys when photo was taken .

    He was 18 or maybe 17 they went in earlier back then, I have his discharge papers I will look for them someday . You know the things you try to forget on an everyday when you lose someone

    Not quite sure how I missed seeing this one, sorry. Great photo, I am always grateful that there was someone around to take these photos back in the day, provides many memories. Not sure how it will work these days, with memory sticks!! families would hand down photo albums, do they hand down memory sticks in the same way? Love the photo.

    Thank you petey :-) Yes so glad someone had a camera and captured this photo of my Dad it is priceless to have . Now guess they just email you one IF they have a camera along . I did get email photo's of son taken by a reporter on ground in Iraq .I don't think they had reporters following serviceman in everyday life back when this photo was taken .
