The thousand names of Ganesha? Ganesha images were prevalent in many parts of the world by the 6th century. In the west he is only thought of as an India deity. In the Burmese language, Ganesha is known as Maha Peinne, there are a thousand names of Ganesha. Looking closely at this carving it reminded me of a movie called: The Predator; a story of a fictional extraterrestrial species featured in the science-fiction thriller. Is it really science-fiction?
