Lovely statue and subject matter, manikin.
I think she is holding wheat and perhaps the child picked flowers from the field. You didn't show a photo of the back, which might confirm my wild guess.
Just for a comparison of what she is holding, this is a famous porcelain of Ruth holding wheat:

Wow Solver your right on !!!!!! It is wheat . No wonder I couldn't figure her out I was thinking all these yrs feathers but she did not fit with having feathers . The baby is holding flowers but it like cupid as he has his little arrow bag and strap on with arrows in it . She looks like she is so peaceful and in love it all fits now . She is stunning . Thank You the mystery is solved and also Marko is out of business as you found so we can date her from 1940 to maybe 50 ? Amazing . Love this site so many helpful people . She is so heavy I never move her but I am wondering on her value . She belongs in a regal home unlike mine :-) many thanks . I will post her back and remove one pic if you want but it is huge wheat up the back of her legs and dress . They start at base by her feet . Let me know I can pull a pic and post . Again thank you . It is amazing how we all can see something that we might not notice until someone points it out . I think she is a Goddess ?
