This is a car that my grandfather gave me about 30 years ago. Supposedly it was his as a kid but the time doesn't make sense since he was born in 1906. I'm wondering if anyone on here can tell me the manufacturer and give me a date of manufacture. It has "Made in Japan" printed right under the steering wheel. Also, where would be a good place to have it appraised - if it's worth anything.
Thanks
Terry

Well, it definitely isn't anywhere near 100 years old. This is a fantasy reproduction, late '60s at the earliest, but probably closer to late '70s. Linemar made a lot of these style of toy cars, as well as TN (Nomura) and a number of other Japanese manufacturers. It's value is slightly more than just as a recent decorative piece, but not a lot. I didn't see this specific vehicle listed in any of my resources, but I would estimate its monetary value is around $10-$20.
