My Mother just recently gave me this ring . She really never wore it but I wear it constantly . She said it was given to her in the 1940,s but other than that no other info . Im not sure but it seems older than that to me . In real life it shows less red and more blues and greens but a light blue not dark than the above photo,s . It is only a slice set under a crystal dome . If anyone can tell from the design or construction about when it was made that would be great . Thankyou

I just love opals! Wish they weren't so fragile, I'm always so paranoid when I wear mine.
Thankyou Thriftfan,Scandinavian_Pieces and Agram.m I really do love opals as well, I find that they are tougher than people think I wear mine 24/7 even when I had a farm and as long as I dont get them wet they,ve been fine .
Thankyou for the love Vintagemad and Wolcott1.
