I got this Magic Lantern as well as a collection of slides from my great granduncle who was a photography amateur in Mexico. They did magic lantern shows with other friends and I inherited this and other beautiful cameras and slides.

In the mid 1800s he became the optician to Her Majesty's Government and the National Rifle, and National Artillery Associations.
