    I need help.
Is there anyone that can tell me a little about this candy container?
How can I tell if the eyes are glass.
    Thanks

I have absolutely no expertise in antique German candy containers, but this is almost certainly pre-WWII, and possibly WWI. If that is the case, then the eyes would have to be glass since any man-made material wouldn't be that shiny and translucent. This a fabulous find!

I actually think it might be a perfume bottle. I am no expert on them but a company called Schuco did bottles as bears, monkeys etc. in the 1920's.
The glass phial might be missing.
It might be a rare one?

I think this is a candy container also. I have several german candy containers very similar, but not this rabbit.

Thanks everyone for being so helpful. I know this much; It is made of paper mache and it does have a furry coat. I tried to tap the eyes very softly with a spoon and tried to listen for a glass sound and also looked at them with a fine magnified glass. But still not 100% certain.
Based on the comment made by Stefdesign which was very helpful, I think they might be glass because of the age of the candy container.
