This is absolutely amazing! I found this at an estate sale this weekend. Completely hand made. When you plug it in and flip the switch, the lights in the switchboard flash on and off. You can pull out the red plugs and plug them into the terminals, they are on retractable cords.
I cannot imagine the time it must have taken to make this thing. The round plugs are the eyelets from sneakers. It's hard to determine the age, any ideas? Look at the detail on that switchboard. It was a great treasure hunting weekend, I am going to post several of the other treasures shortly.

This switchboard is exactly what I have been looking for a puppet ministry at church. If you ever get the notion to sell it please contact me. It is a great find. Congrats.
Barbie get some of the Church Folks and see if someone could make you one? Plywood drill 50 holes add some PVC pipe pieces with glue to hold in place. Do the same for bottom section, few holes and just find some old headphones and cut ends off and use as phone plugs for board. Take a old dial phone and remove the dialer and glue to top. Write names or #'s on panel and Walla! Your own Folk Art Switchboard!
