I received this book in 1971 the year it was published. This was and still is my favorite childhood book , the illustrations are just as good today as in my memory and its not too often you can say that ! . Plus the stories were a good mix of known classics like The Real Princess by Hans Anderson and The Road to Dover by Dickens with the more unusual such as The Story of FairyFoot by Frances Brown and Through The Fire by Mary de Morgan.
