I called a friend today and ask if he wanted to go to Bloomington, Indiana to an antique store and just look around. I was there a few weeks ago and he said why not. So we headed down south and had to go through Martinsville. On the way down he said did you see that globe in that store window and I said no, it's probably a reproduction. So we headed on to Bloomington and looked around and didn't find anything or in my price range. Had something to eat and headed home. Went back through Martinsville and that store was still opened. So we stopped and I couldn't believe it when we went in, but I think this is an original gas globe. It has a one piece glass hull and two glass lenses and is very heavy. The lenses are 13 1/2" and the over all length is 16 3/4". She called the owner and we came to a price on the phone. I really think this is old but if I am wrong please let me know.
