This is my oldest personal possession, given to me on the day I was born. This ornament is the highlight memory of each Christmas as a child ... removing it from the box, hanging it on the tree, and gazing at it night after night. He always made me smile.
I'm grateful I still can see his smiling face despite the damage. I would like to have the ornament repaired (is that even possible) and / or purchase an identical replacement. I still have the "cheek" part of the ornament but his nose was smashed to bits; he had a very large protruding red nose.
I do not know if the ornament was purchased new for me so I really don't know how old it is. I was told it was made in Germany but that might not be accurate.
The ornament measures 5" tall and the circumference is approx. 9.5" and that is without his nose.
If you've seen ornaments like this one, can provide any leads or information that would help me search for a replacement, know an ornament dealer or qualified repair service, or other, I'd greatly appreciate you passing that information along.

Try searching ebay for vintage blown glass Rudolph christmas ornaments every few days .One will surely turn up one day . Sorry he got broke I am sure he means alot to you :-( Does the metal hanger have anything wrote on it ? The piece that the glass inserts into ?
