Here is my 1860's Flat top china that is like one in Scotts photo . China dolls are dated by hair do . Most are very top heavy as heads weigh so much and bodies are made of cloth . Girls had to be very careful when they played with them . Their popularity faded with Bisque dolls and ended in 1920 with very common to find lesser quality dolls called Low brow . Very early China's 1840's and 50's are highly sought after .
