Here we have Steiff's wonderful 18cm Zotty bear, the second to smallest size produced in this particular and beloved Zotty design. He is five ways jointed and made from tan mohair fur with an orange mohair fur bib and a tan mohair muzzle. Zotty has brown and black pupil eyes, a hand stitched nose, and and open, peach colored mouth. His paw pads are made from tan felt. Zotty was produced from 1951 through 1978 in 17, 18, 22, 28, 35, 43, 50, 80, and 100 cm.
This 18 cm size is a little unusual as it began production in 1963 - about 12 years later than Zotty's introduction. However, this particular model is the earliest of the size produced, and was manufactured in the 1963 though 1967 timeframe.
