Our volunteer local Bremer County Museum in Waverly, IA recently found this all metal picture in their attic holdings. It is marked "Copyrighted Oct. 14, 1903 by the PABST BREWING COMPANY"
Does anyone know anything about this antique sign? I have not been able to find anything like it in any of the online collectable sites. We would like to display it and need more information about it.
The painting is of two bottles of Pabst Blue Ribbon with a glass full and a tray of Oysters in their shells.

Looks to be the self framed tin version of this sign.Painted by artist A.F King (1854-1945) with a copyright date of 1903.Its a pre prohibition sign featuring a still life featuring oysters in the half shell.Looks like it would benefit with a cleaning of Kramer's antique improver (which will make the colors pop and preserve it for the next century) They aren't rare, but clean ones are.Usually selling in the 3 to 500 range.

      Oldbeer,
Thanks for the help and great information. Our volunteer museum is interested in selling it as we need funds to keep the heat on this winter. I will clean it up as you suggested and if you have ideas on how to put it on the market let me know.

I have two copies of the same picture you are showing in very good condition that came from the brewery years ago and the way it became pabst blue ribbon is it won a contest at a fair and won first prize and received a blue ribbon and that is how it became pabst blue ribbon.

I have this painting signed by A F King hanging in my kitchen . It hung in my Grandfathers Tavern before prohibition .
