Even the most inexpensive item can look fabulous with a little imagination. Found this stand of gray pop beads and traded up the look with some vintage pins. Pop beads were immensely popular when I was a small girl in the 1950s.

I have some of these I always thought they were from the 80's? Thanks for the info FineLines. I must say they look great with the pin.

Loved my pop beads as a kid ! They were so popular . They are remaking them today so one has to be sure they are vintage not new . Who knew they would have come back :-) Thanks for sharing

Yes, ladies. Everything is fun with the right attitude - especially at Collector's Weekly!

The 80s revived almost every decade 30s, 40s, 50s and created its own - that oversized everything look with big hair.

Thanks for "stopping by" ladies - always a pleasure. DD@Phila

Just a little update on these pop beads. I've been wearing them over the holiday season and they look very much like gray faux pearls. Think I'll keep them.
Happy holidays everyone & a fun New Year.

Hi scandiP Yes, aren't they fun? One piece about "opera length" but because you can "pop" them off to any length I can have 2 strands or 1 strand and a bracelet. (Giggle). My next *new thing* - Pop Beads.
Happy poppin New Year to you all. DD@Phila
