Coca Cola made a lot of these over the years but I really like the ones made during the WW2 era. This one is from 1941 and has great color and detail.
I'm curious, were all of these found originally inside pencil boxes or could you find them in other ways, back in the day? I put this one inside my antique display case, among some of the Coca Cola blotters and other things I've hunted down over the years.

I like the bottle opener! :) Cool display. I have yet to delve into blotters. I agree, the graphics are fantastic, like mini billboards.

Perry, the small ones were inside the pencil boxes and packets that were given out to the school children. The larger ones were given out to everyone. They were a necessity in the early part of the century when everyone wrote with a fountain pen, but began being phased out with the intro of the ball point pen around 1950. That coincides pretty closely with the last blotter coke produced. Nice display!

Are the toy vehicles Tootsie? I can't tell from the pic, but I would guess the truck is Tootsie and the car maybe not. Either way, they both look to be in exceptional condition! Very nice display!

Thanks everyone! I mainly started collecting the blotters for the fact that my parents lived it. Then realized like Bernie and Dave stated, they look like mini posters or billboards. And of course, its Coca Cola!!
Thanks for the history info Blaine! Were they given out to adults at grocery stores and or fountains?
Hey ay, the truck and car are actually Renwal made. They were dimestore toys, like Tootsies and around the same time period. Hey Dave, I don't think my bottle opener is very old but it was given to me some years ago so I can't get too upset about that,,,,lol. Bernie, I know from Ray's pics of his CC room that he would like them. He has several framed on his walls.

Renwal, got it. Cool. Thanks, Perry. How bout that little radio bank! You've got a cool, eclectic display here. Nice!

Thanks ay! The plastic radio is made by Ideal and from the 50s. The knobs all move and the speaker is where you remove your loot, similar to other banks but on the front. Found at an antique store some years ago. There's a slit in the back to deposit coins. The Renwal cars and trucks will show up on ebay form time to time. If looking, be very picky about condition and make sure all paint is in tact. I found the car at a store in town a few years ago, the truck,,, I can't remember. I wouldn't pay over $15 for any of them.
