Wooden box camera used by my photographer grandfather at the turn of the 20th century made by the Rochester Optical Co. before they were bought out by George Eastman who was then bought out by Kodak.

George Eastman was the founder of Kodak (the name of his first camera in 1888) so he was never bought out by Kodak, the company was named the Eastman Kodak Company. When he opened Kodak Park in Rochester it was really named in honor of the camera that gave his company its real kick-start in the late 19th century.
