Tin Bucket Full Of Doll Hats- Wow, These are pretty nice, were they really for dolls? These are not falling apart like the dresses from yesterday. And the little mink tails are soooo soft. And, What about that scalp of hair? Fancy. Did they ever brush the hair? Because I'd be scared to mess it up. Is that real human hair? Because it feels suspiciously like my own. I don't know if I can pick a favorite. The plum hat w/ blue ribbon is such a lovely color. Ratts! Camera batteries keep failing me! There is another larger trunk I'm gonna get now. I'm striking out on the Doll so far- This next trunk is my last chance :)

That is a human hair wig for a bisque doll Beaux. Yes id did many many wigs was one of my jobs at doll museum and hospital . Leave it as it is .Let it air out and then put it in a hairnet to keep nice . Collectors like original set and bows . We only did hair if it was beyond hope . Yours is nice ! They sell for good money also . Love the hats ! Wow girl your hitting gold . A doll hopefully is there yet . Their heads were fragile so it may have been broke and that is why wig is off . Also you could order wigs back then . Is there evidence of glue on inside cloth of wig ? Love Love !
You know I think your wig is mohair . Is it real soft ? Human hair would be stiffer ?
Yes, it was really soft. When I felt it I thought it was nicer than my own hair, which I thought was odd.
Your wig is mohair . It has a nice value too ! Antique doll collecters love these ! I am again drooling over the clothes you added . I am coming right over to help you :-) These are all early 1900 to 30's clothes . Love the tea sets ! are they marked ? You are having Christmas :-) How fun for you and all the memories too .
That is great news! The tea sets are amazing, both are still in the boxes they were sold in- The gold set is perfect! No chips, w/ every piece included, it is a set for two, I love the gold serving tray best. It was made in Germany. The other set must have been a set of six, I'm guessing because that is how many saucers and cups I found. One teacup has a handle broken off. There are only five plates. The tray, teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, and taureen(?) are like new! They are marked, Made in Japan- and the box they were packed in says the same and they seem to match. Wow. This is fun, but I've never seen these things before, so I don't have any memories of them- The memories for them are being made right now!
:)
The memory is that your Grandmother had these likely as a child and she saved them for you :-)
