I loved getting to stop by this store on way across USA we always got free candy and Ice cream. The store signs are fun to see for sign collectors a piece of American history nearly gone Mom and Pop owned stores . I Remember the old glass candy jars well this store had a whole row of them and it was hard to pick which one we wanted for 1 cent candy . Now it is likely a dollar for a penny candy .

Your photos are the best, and I appreciate the personal memories. Thank-You for sharing!
Thank Beaux who wouldn't remember free Ice cream and candy :-) This was my Great Uncles store . It was a highlight of long car trip from West coast to East coast in a car with 4 girls and 2 parents across desert pre air conditioning , sleeping on floor boards and back window of car for a steady 3 days on road . It was miserable yet I saw so much country and I remember stopping in desert and finding old Indian relics and I would dream when I grew up I would live in desert in a shack with a dirt floor LOL I had high goals :-) Thanks for the love
Oh I just got the name LOL cavity and cancer :-) Yes have some tobacco with your ice cream yum :-) I think that was to high for us to see in store :-) But a Great Name ! Your sharp thinking today love it !
Thank you Official and Rocker for the Love :-)

Did you see the lady Signaholic is she part of Liberty soda AD ? At first glance I thought she was a person in store but she is a sign
LOL, wow I missed her too. She's got to be early. I would guess between teens or 20s.
Thank you for all the loves !
Thank you Bellin for the love !
Today's advertising just doesn't have the same appeal. I can't even make out the bottom flange sign, but I know I would love to have both of them on my wall, lol
Thank you tommy . Do you mean bottom Liberty Root beer sign ? The top of window from L to R ..Candy - Tobacco -Soda . Gee which should a kid pick :-) That is classic to era . Everyone smoked I think . I love Beaux#1 comment on the ad reading Cavity or Cancer ? Take your pick . Thank you for the Love tommy
I mean all of it, Todays ads are one word sometimes less, lol. Back then people weren't in such a hurry, they had time to read the signs and look at the artwork.
I agree tommy some of the old signs I remember as a kid still today they really stood out and made you remember them . Love the old Mom and Pop stores and gas stations signs
Thank you macro !
I don't know why I didn't click the love button when you had posted it, oh well better late than never. I didn't notice the flange sign in the upper right the first time I looked at this or the reflection of the boy in the lower left of the window.
As always I love the old photos
