I know this is a little different, but it's a Matty talking doll circa 1960 made by Mattel toys. He still talks when you pull the string and he's a little dirty, but he was a foundling, lol. Thanks for looking

Thank you Mani for the info and the love. It seem mine has the correct clothing, just "Well played with". :-)
You can still get the original cloths on eBay cheap. Watch the the string dot break at the ring. If the record don't sound right squirt a lot of alcohol down the sting into the record box and keep pulling the string. It will clean off the record without damage but be careful the string does not brake and go inside. Put a small thin vice grip on the string in front of the ring in case it breaks at the ring so you don't lose the string. You can wash it with a wet rag and Woolite. Just don't soak the doll enough to sink into the voice box. If it does just squirt alcohol into it again and leave by the heater vent until dry. Not worth more than $50 but you have the first talking Mattel doll made! They should appreciate in time. Many of the voice boxes don't work only because they gum up but can be fixed easily...most dont know this and sell very cheaply. It may pay to buy a hundred of these thru the years and it the string gets sucked in you can find a doll repair to open up the doll and put a refurbished one in that you did your self with a new string and have the shop sew it back up. I hope I have a little more info on it then you have. John ;)
