Beautiful 66 ragtop, LOVE it. Thanks for posting.
Love those old cars but I remember going to dealership with my Dad when we bought a new 62 Impala and traded a 57 Chevy in for it . I think the 57 which was yellow was to small for all of us . Thanks for sharing ! and I love the out buildings and as a background . Great Photo !
thanks for the love guys! those buildings are on our family farm and date back to the 1830's they are still used for storage of all of our farm stuff, check my new post of the far red barn you can barely see
I wish my backyard had your barns and out buildings in it :-) The car would be a nice touch too ! What great history !
the really small bit of bumper you can see is a white 1968 Impala convertible
I hope you changed the motor mounts, lol, yeh, I'm that old, and a old chevy man. I broke the motor mounts in my mothers 65 impala doing burnouts back around 1973.
I crashed my Dad's 62 Impala on way to a High school play I was in . But I had to still go on stage and was terrified from car accident . I had by lic for only a mo :-(
Thank goodness the car was getting older then . And yrs later he gave it to me and I drove till the doors fell off :-) Great Memories and EJW I burned gravel coming out of our driveway to get onto a highway as my Dad stood and watched it . You had to get out fast as there a hill and you could not see oncoming traffic well I hit that pedal and whoa I hit the car behind hill and knocked it off road into a field . Thankfully no one was hurt .
Had a pin fall out of the carb on another '66 we have ,throttle went straight to the floor ,never heard an engine scream like that!!! Yes all of our cars have the recall tie downs.
Thanks packrat and wendling!!!!!!!
