This picture was taken in 1940 in front of one of our barns,my great grandpa bought this 77 acre farm in 1936 and had a chance to by another 80 acres for $1 /per acre ,but didn't,wow! Farm ground around here is $3-4,000/per acre now. Shown with his "tractors"

Great old picture of "the good old days"!? I have pictures of my dad and grandpa with 2 of their horses and loved the stories that Dad would tell of how well they worked together. Also the story of the day he was backing a team of horses into a barn by holding their harnesses in front of them and bees from a nearby nest started buzzing around the horses heads. He barely got out of the way of the horses as they reared and ran out of the barn. And today we drive 2 - 300 plus horsepower tractors with a/c, heat, gps, auto steer, ect., and land is selling for 7 -10,000 per acre. Wow have times changed in agriculture!
Thanks cindyjune,and neat old stuff!
