So if you're willing to travel a little, there are bargains to be had on Ebay. We bought this desk on ebay for $125! It's an old Chinoiserie quarter-sawn oak desk in the Mission style, circa 1910. And it's in great condition. And it's big. 40" wide. 23" deep. Wish I had a key for the lock, but wow, What a bargain. It cleaned up beautifully. We had to drive two hours to CT to pick it up, but it was worth it.
