African molded terra cotta figural set, painted white & brown, with wood inlay boardcase. Highly ornamented figures, unusual knights, and traditional village hut rooks. Kings 4 1/2", pawns 3".
This is the ugliest set I have ever seen, and therin lies it’s charm (beauty IS in the eye of the beholder). It’s a set I have not seen elsewhere and any information on it would be much appreciated.
