This is the largest Railroad Police badge I own and the largest badge I have ever seen! This badge is almost 6" across and is hallmarked "J.C. Irvine" before they became "Irvine & Jachiens" in San Francisco and pre-dates the San Francisco earthquake. The badge is for a Special Officer of the AT&SF RY Co. and is marked "AT" ornately in the center for Arizona Territory. You see a lot of old west reproductions, in fact some idiot tried to repro this badge but they got the size wrong and of course didn't know what the back looked like which is why I hate to show the backs of some of these old badges. Anyway, here is a real "old west" lawman's badge!
