These were both very popular but you don't see the more rounded one too often. I think it's from the early 40s. They both work perfectly and I even have the boxes for both including the slides! The newer versions were all the rage when I was a kid and I still enjoy lookin at them.

I've never seen the round one either. I have the square one with an attachable light source that runs by battery. My Grampa was a great traveller and picked up a reel wherever he went so I have a collection of all the sights in the US from coast to coast. Really cool, my kids have always loved them.

ty all very much I have 23 reels mostly landscapes one on hollywood actors home in the 40's I enjoy them 7 will probably pass it on to my grandkids one day & hope they appreciate it as much as I do Kiwie
