Remember when teens were active and the girls made their own jewelry from real polished stones and glass beads and traded them with their friends? The silverware would end up rings and bracelets, the emblems on your German and Italian sports cars were incorporated into bracelets, rings and necklaces. They would have stichwork on their jean jackets and flair their jeans. Afgan poncho's, hats, gloves all made at home, thick quilts on their beds. The boy's would be learning to hunt and dress out live game, rebuilding cars drug out of the famers fields, building duck blinds, tree stands, survival of the fittest. I do not remember any Micky D's or dollar stores? We would walk out into the woods if we got hungry and eat berries.
