This is a huge and heavy Art Moderne clock. The clock is French and is 27.75 inches long and 26 inches tall, it weighs in at 33 lbs. His bow is Ivory, but the bottom is broken off. I made a cast of the top of the bow and added it to the bottom of the bow (See the first three pictures, the forth picture is what it looked like before the repair). It is missing a small piece of onyx at the far end of the clock, probably matched the orange onyx at the back of the clock. To me this clock is an absolute masterpiece of Art Moderne design. The pictures do not do it justice. The clock does work but needs a good cleaning. The statue is modeled after one sculpted by Jean de Roncourt.
Took the movement out last night to survey what needs to be done to it and discovered that it is a Marti 8 day movement. The movement is original to the clock.
