This is a Takita Shogun vase from the 50's. It measures about 5 inches tall. The craftwork on this vase is impressive. The artist put a variety of textures into the Shogun's clothing and the background, apparently using tiny bits of porcelain on a brush, then painted over the whole design. The Shogun's costume also features gilding.
