Just a thought on your glasses. I collected a set of glasses as premiums with the purchase of gasoline from Lion Oil Company during the 1950s - 60s. They had a silver band around the top similar to yours, which was touted as Platinum. I never saw stemware, but another company could have included that in their premium selection. I believe your glasses were from that era, and were premiums. At the same time, sets of china could be collected the same way....Does anyone remember Golden Wheat china premiums?
I do not but appreciate the information! My Gram is 100 now and does not remember where they came from :) They are so pretty I will cherish them! I will ask her about the lion oil co and see if she remembers that!
